Below is our story summarizing Kathryn's & Howard's road to becoming HoneyByrd Sweets. It was an adventure of a lifetime! We always knew it would end no more than 20 years, but never dreamed it would be haulted suddenly due to health reasons. Unfortunately, we had no one to pass on Kathryn's secrets. Although I (Howard) still know them, it would be near impossible to recreate the love and detailed work Kathryn "poured" into every batch of candy. Even with her RA affecting her hands she still insisted on holding and pouring every 315° pot of molten toffee. Each pot took approximately 10 inutes to pour out onto the trays creating that fluffy, crispy crunch that everyone simply loved!
With over 50 scrunptous treats, Kathryn's recipes were being bought out every week. So much so, that we had to stop many customers from making purchases. We began seeing an addiciton form which created policing in order to keep people's health as a priority. Through this, and to keep it light and humorous, we developed the list of "Rules", to be followed when purchasing and eating these treats.
